* Screening is usually done 1-14 days prior, however can be combined with Day 0 visit.
** Day 210 (7 month) clinic visit can be done by phone in exceptional cases
- You do not pay for the vaccine, tests or visits
- You will need to keep a home diary to record any effects of the vaccine
- Other necessary travel vaccines may be given except one week before and one week after each vaccination on day 0 and 28
- This website is just to give you preliminary information
- The study staff will explain everything in great detail, before you decide if you wish to participate
- You can withdraw at any time with no explanation
- This study is being undertaken under the guidance / supervision of an Ethical Research Committee
- This Research will assist others
Volunteer Eligibility
Only the study doctor can determine eligibility, but your child (male or female) may be eligible to volunteer if:
- They are 2 months to 17 years old.
- They are in good health.
- They have not had a vaccine against Japanese Encephalitis, Yellow Fever, Dengue, or West Nile Virus prior to the study.
- They are planning to travel to an area where Japanese Encephalitis is endemic.
- There is plenty of time before departure to schedule other travel vaccines around the study vaccine.
